SOCIAL COMMITTEE

The social committee plans, organizes, and directs social and fund-raising activities at the ponderosa’s facilities. The committee size varies and the members are volunteers responsible for staffing the events and arranging for food or drink when appropriate. The Vice President is the Trustee assigned to this committee.

The committee provides notice of the planned activities along with a budget proposal for the coming year. The chairperson gives an accounting for all expenditures to the bookkeeper after each event. Committee reports of activities are given to the Association Manager after each event for posting at the Office, the Clubhouse and on the website. Suggestions for events are welcomed from the Ponderosa club members at social@ponderosacommunityclub.org.

SOCIAL COMMITTEE OPERATING PROCEDURES

The recommended number of members for the Social Committee is a minimum of five (5). The Vice President is the Trustee assigned to this committee. The committee is charged with:
  • Planning, organizing and directing social and fund-raising activities which involve the Ponderosa’s facilities, other than those fund-raising activities which have been assigned to the Treasurer.
  • Providing planned activities and budget proposal for the coming year to the Board by August 31.
  • Accounting for all expenditures to the bookkeeper at each month end.
  • Committee reports of activities are to be given to the Association Manager after each event for posting at the Office, the Clubhouse and on the website.
