Buildings and Grounds Committee
Buildings and Grounds Operating Procedures
The recommended number of members is no fewer than three (3).
The committee shall be monitored by the Director of Operations.
The committee is charged with:
When approved by the Board of Trustees, the responsibility
for maintenance, repair and improvement of existing buildings,
including the swimming pool, grounds and greenbelts owned
by the Corporation, except when any of these responsibilities
have been assumed by the Maintenance Contractor by contract;
Forecasting the requirements of the Corporation’s
building and grounds within the next five years, and planning
the capital improvements, maintenance, repair and replacement
Preparing a one-year budget and five year forecast of estimated
costs and presenting them to the Director of Operations no
later than November 30 each year; and
Assisting the Director of Operations with the recruitment
and oversight of volunteers to assist with various buildings
and grounds projects of the Corporation.
